       Does the term “year-round hoops” mean anything to you? The greatest professional basketball athletes work just as hard during the off-season as they do during the season. As talented as Magic, Jordan, and Bird are – they didn’t become basketball icons by sitting out the off-season. Luckily, during off-season workouts athletes can taper their workouts to include rest and recover, which is nearly impossible during the season. Yes, playing basketball is job and it’s what they’re paid to do; but money can’t heal a fatigued body.everyone needs rest the Lockout continued for five months and glad to say that it is over and that 5 games will begin on Christmas Day.

       The new agreement will allow teams to open training camps, sign and contact players, and make trades. There will be just two preseason games this year between geographically close teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers with each team getting one home game.

      Secret service says two bullets struck the white house, gunfire was reported about 9pm Friday in the 16th block of Constitution Avenue. A 21-year-old Idaho man named Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hermandez was  suspected of firing a semi-automatic rifle at the White House and was arrested, authorities said.Police believe Ortega-Hernandez is mentally ill. He has an extensive record, ranging from domestic violence to drug charges. Sources say a police investigation uncovered evidence suggesting Ortega-Hernandez has a fixation on the White House.Obama, who is currently on a visit to Australia, was not present at the White House at the time of the incident, and has been out of town for the last week. Ortega is looking at life in prison for attempted assassination.

        Ortega says he thinks that Obama is the devil. understood hes mentally ill but Trying to take out the president is insane, even though Obama wasn't there when this happened, it could have been a lot worst.

            Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, was sentenced Tuesday to four years behind bars for his role in the death of the pop superstar.         Civil Rigths Activist Rosa Parks was born February 4,1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama, Her refusal to surender her seat to a white passenger on a Montegomery bus on December 1,1955 started a very memorable moment. Rosa parks had a hard day at work (department store) she caught a bus on her way home she was told to give her seat up for a white man and she refused and was arrested. this started a boycott tht lasted 382 days, she recieved over 2 dozen rewards for her braveness. she changed the world says Al Sharpton he says she made the world respect her people and that were all here because she made a difference.Al sharpton speaks to the world saying cell phones and all other electronical devices didnt exist then but Dr. Martin luther king Jr still managed to gather thousands of people creating a boycott, what does this say? it says that Now A days our society takes life for granted and should take more time apreciating what historians have done to get us as people ehre we are today in Quoting Sharpton "Mirrors arent just a reflection of what you see they also to correct what you see".Rosa Parks died on October 25, 2005

        Former 37 year old  NFL star was hospitalized last week nobody really knowing the reason why but, according to his assistant he had taken many pills and she believes that it was a suicide a suicide attempt.Back in 2006, reports surfaced that T.O. was taken to the hospital due to a suicide attempt but he and his assistant both denied those reports at the time. T.O. is recovering from an ACL injury and is currently without a team for the 2011 NFL season maybe this is the reason he did what he did, he has a lot going on Physically hes OK. He also owes child support that he is unable to pay do to financial reason he received a court date to see if it was able to be reduced but he didn't show. why dint he show? GOOD QUESTION

Why Are Black Models Popular?
 
Black models are increasingly popular because as of present, there are still just a hand full of them in the industry. Therefore when an African American man or woman becomes a model, they tend to stand out. The first well-known Black model was Vanessa Williams, who was also the first African American to be crowned as Mrs. America. However, by the late 1990's due to diversity being more accepted, Black models were much more in-demand. This was mostly attributed to the sharp growth in popularity of Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Tyson Beckford, Selita Ebanks, and more.
The hip-hop revolution also fueled the popularity of Black male and female models. Magazines such as XXL, The Source, and Vibe became fashion resources for African American modeling urban clothing. This led to a movement whereas rappers, R&B singers, and even Black athletes were being used as models. Some great examples include: LL Cool J, Fat Joe, B2K, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Venus and Serena Williams, and Beyonce.
In recent years, several Black-owned modeling agencies have popped up in urban areas near Atlanta, New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. Many of them market heavily on urban radio stations encouraging listeners to attend local auditions. This, in turn, fuels the careers of young 




Becoming a  African American male model is in my future i plan on becoming successful, I want to make a difference in todays society. through all the crime and deaths we have in our communitys no matter what just keep pushing, Life doesnt stop it keeps going so just live thats what i plan to do.

Michigan has a law Against Gays,Lesbians,bisexuals,ETC stating that if you are suspected of being gay then you could lose your job.
Theres a web site called dontchangeyourself.com and it basically talks about males and females that are gay,lesbiens, bisexual,etc. the site says that if you are a male you should keep your goatee niceley cleaned because it concludes that you care to much about grooming, and for women to wear at least four inch heels because lesbians like comfortable shoes. If you are suspected of being Gay you could lose your job,

Funeral of Troy davis

More than 1,000 people attended the funeral service today for Troy Davis, the convicted murderer who was executed in Georgia last week despite emotional pleas for his life.
The funeral, held at Jonesville Baptist Church in Savannah, lasted for about 3.5 hours, and was open to public.
The eulogy was delivered by the Rev. Raphael Warnock of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga., who served as a spiritual adviser to Davis on death row.
Warnock said he hopes Davis' funeral will serve as wake-up call on the death penalty, and commended the Davis family for having the service open to the public.
"It's much to the Davis family's credit that they have been willing in the midst of their personal pain to see that we are talking about a larger, national moral crisis," Warnock told the AP Friday.
Other speakers, including NAACP president Benjamin Jealous, also called for the death penalty to be abolished.
"Troy's last words that night were he told us to keep fighting until his name is cleared in Georgia," said Jealous, according to The Associated Press. "But most important, keep fighting until the death penalty is abolished and this can never be done to anyone else."

more than 1000 people attended Troys funeral showing sympathy for his Family. he was wrongly executed and manyb believe that is was wrong because he was a black man being accused of klling a white policeman but hey his last words tell it all RIP Troy Davis.

Welfare changes in Michigan

Thousands of people and families are affected by the changes the state of Michigan has made, Michigan just last Saturday cut all who were collecting benefits and family support from receiving any benefits. Now the people are trying to sue the state of Michigan for not giving a earlier notice on this thousands of family's are hurt by this no more food stamps no more cash assistance how will they get by, the job market isn't all that great in Michigan so yes people were counting in that help and now there is none.

           My Opinion whoever came up with this bright idea is selfish and i don't think this was thought thoroughly what do they expect the people to do after many years of receiving benefits, and on top of that there were no early notices about the situation.i hope they get this figured out, they are making the world something it doesn't have to be.

      Adult swim is a television program that once aired on cartoon network MONDAY-Saturday 11pm-6am and Sundays 10pm-6am. it shows at midnight because its Adult oriented not meant for young children to watch, the reason for that is that a variety of cartoons would air but the cartoons had a lot going on to much for a child to encounter. Cussing, sexual comments,sexual pics,bad appearances etc. all occurred on the program which is children shouldn't be watching it. those who have watched it just go head and take a look at them now.
WHY DID CARTOON NETWORK LAUNCH ADULT SWIM?
 Cartoon network wants to attract all age groups what better idea could they have,I think it qwas a great idea Parents will just have to pay attention to what there children are watching. Around that time anyway children should be in the bed.

The things that go on in the world today are already bad but when it comes down to someone throwing unwanted or no longer needed items on the ground it irritates me. I feel you shouldnt complain about anything if your contibuting to the wrong doing.there's a near by trash can somewhere, have respect for your own environment im sure your parents taught you better then to be triphalin. sometimes i think what if noone was there to pick up after loitering people, would people still do it ad let our grounds pile up with trash, or will they have enough respect to put trash/unwanted item where it belong. In todays society you never know what people will do, me personlly I think people would just let it pile up but this is just my opinion I might be wrong. im not saying im perfect but everybody knows right from wrong soo come on STOP the LOITERING.

ATLANTA (AP) — Convicted cop killer Troy Davis is scheduled to be executed Wednesday for a crime he says he did not commit.
Vigils outside Georgia's death chamber were set. Protests were planned. Davis' attorneys said he was willing to take a polygraph test if the pardons board would consider its results. And they didn't rule out filing one last legal appeal, though they know it's a long shot.
In Europe, where the planned execution has drawn widespread criticism, legislators and activists were making a last-minute appeal to the state of Georgia to refrain from executing Davis. Amnesty International and other groups planned a protest outside the U.S. Embassy in Paris later Wednesday. Amnesty International also planned to hold a vigil outside the U.S. Embassy in London on Wednesday night.
Renate Wohlwend of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly noted doubts raised about Davis' conviction. She said that "to carry out this irrevocable act now would be a terrible mistake which could lead to a tragic injustice."
Davis is to be executed by injection at 7 p.m. for the 1989 killing of Mark MacPhail, an off-duty police officer who was working as a security guard in Savannah when he was shot dead rushing to help a homeless man who had been attacked.

Michigan Policeman behind bars

(09/13/11) - A Buena Vista Township police officer is behind bars charged with killing a pregnant woman.

Officer Kenneth Bluew, 36, was formally charged in Saginaw County District Court Tuesday morning.

Bluew faces four felony charges, including the most serious offense of first degree premeditated murder.

He is also charged with intentional conduct against a pregnant individual resulting in death, miscarriage or stillbirth to a fetus or embryo, and two counts of felony firearms.

Bluew is accused of killing 32-year-old Jennifer Webb on Aug. 30. Her body was found near a gun range in Buena Vista Township the following day.

Webb was eight months pregnant, and friends tell us she was carrying Bluew's child, a boy to be named Braxton.

Prosecutor Mike Thomas reports Bluew was on duty when the crime took place, and confirms Bluew was at the scene of the murder when another officer found Webb's body.

Thomas says Webb was strangled to death.

He goes on to say Bluew was arrested Monday night after investigators got some DNA-related lab results back from the Michigan State Police Crime Lab.

He then was taken to the Saginaw County Jail, but because of his status as a police officer in the county, it was decided to move Bluew to Bay County for the night.

It's unclear where he'll be housed moving forward.

Bluew is suspended from the Buena Vista Township Police Department at this time.

"The principle upset in this case is the fact that we lost a 32-year-old citizen and a child that could have been born alive and lost their life experiences also. I mean that's the tragedy in this case," said Thomas.

Bluew will be back in court later this month

He aint a man no matter how mad you get at a woman you should never put your hands on one ESPECIALLY a pregnant one. he deserve everything he get.
